Lexus NX Powertrain Options
You better love the 2.0L Turbocharged engine in the Acura RDX, because there are no optional engine choices at any trim level. The Lincoln Corsair provides a pair of 4-cylinder combustion power plants - a 2.0L that generates 250 horsepower and a 2.3L version that increases the available power by 30 additional horsepower. A third option - a 2.5L 4-cylinder paired with an electric motor in a plug-in hybrid variant is only available on the range-topping Grand Touring model.
The Lexus NX however, offers 4 distinct powertains across 6 trim levels. The base NX 250 is powered by a 203-horsepower 4-cylinder engine. Stepping up to the NX 350 increases the available power to 275 horsepower coming from a turbocharged 2.4L 4-cylinder engine. Additionally, Lexus buyers can choose from 2 separate hybrid options - the NX 350h pairs two electric motors with the 2.5L 4-cylinder from the NX250 for a total of 239 horsepower, and the NX 450h+ Plug-In Hybrid which increases the total horsepower to 302 and provides for up to a 37-mile all-electric range in Lexus’ first Plug-In Hybrid Electric vehicle (PHEV).
